James Yarosh Associates presents a series of photography images of water by artist Mark Ludak, including large-scale images ranging from 40-in. x 50-in. to 30-in. x 60-in. in size.
Mark Ludak's commissions include Apple, Amnesty International, Environmental Defense Fund, Byerschool Foundation, Solebury Land Conservancy amoung others. An abridged list of publications includes The New York Times, The Philadelphia Inquirer, Time, Philadelphia Daily News, Newsweek, Der Spiegel, Vanity Fair, Focus, Mother Jones and Utne Reader. Recent cover photographs include Diamond: A Struggle for Environmental Justice in Louisiana's Chemical Corridor, The MIT Press.
The Artist also studied photography with Roy DeCarava and Mark Feldstein at Hunter College where he completed an MFA degree in Photography. Prior to this he studied Philosophy at Villanova University and Monmouth University respectively. He as well studied at Parsons-The New School for Design in the Foundation Program. After completing his MFA, Mark worked as an editorial photographer for over twenty years. His photography deals broadly with the complexities of the human condition, specifically, the intersection of humanity and the natural world.
